Mod Sun and Avril Lavigne have premiered the video for the acoustic version of their collaborative single, "Flames."
The clip, streaming now on YouTube, finds the pair together in a lamp-lit cabin as they perform the unplugged track, with Lavigne providing the acoustic guitar. They're also accompanied by a pair of string players and even a glockenspiel performer.
"I wanted to offer a bright side to the story and I felt like sonically I could paint that landscape through acoustic guitar and a string section," Mod says. "I wanted to make something that felt like we were performing in your living room."
"'Flames' is a very special song," adds Lavigne. "I love how the acoustic version turned out. It really brings another layer of emotion to the song."
The acoustic version of "Flames" dropped last week. The original is featured on Mod's new album, Internet Killed the Rockstar, which was released in February.
