You can now watch the video for Lamb of God's remake of Megadeth's 1986 song "Wake Up Dead," featuring Dave Mustaine on guitar on vocals.

The video, which originally premiered on RollingStone.com, is now available on YouTube. It was recorded remotely and shows the members of Lamb of God and Mustaine recording their parts, with Megadeth's Kiko Loureiro, Dirk Verbeuen and James LoMenzo participating as well.

As previously reported, the two bands are performing together on 2022 edition of The Metal Tour of the Year, which kicks off April 9 in Las Vegas with support from Trivium and In Flames.

"Wake Up Dead" originally appeared on Megadeth's classic album Peace Sells… but Who’s Buying?  In a statement, Lamb of God guitarist Mark Morton says, "'Wake Up Dead' was a massively important song for me as an aspiring young guitar player. It was one of the first songs that began my lifelong love of thrash metal and helped reinforce for me that, while solos may be fun, my allegiance is to the RIFF! So you can imagine what a thrill it’s been for Lamb to cover this legendary song with Dave & the rest of the Megadeth guys."

He adds, "We all had a lot of fun putting this together and I think you can hear that energy in the track."

Mustaine notes, "We had a blast playing with Lamb of God on their cover of ‘Wake Up Dead’. Almost as much fun as we’re going to have playing every night on Metal Tour Of The Year. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone!"

Megadeth will release a new album, The Sick, The Dying…And The Dead, this year.
