Dave Grohl sits down with Pharrell for the next episode of From Cradle to Stage.
In a clip from the episode, streaming now via RollingStone.com, the Foo Fighters frontman interviews the "Happy" hit-maker about his rap-rock band N.E.R.D.
"We had really embarrassing names," Pharrell says of the group's early days. Grohl then starts to beg Pharrell to reveal said embarrassing names, but he refuses.
"I'll tell you some of mine," Grohl offers. "Doesn't matter," Pharrell replies. "Really bad...so bad!"
From Cradle to Stage, which airs on Paramount+, is based on the book of the same name written by Grohl's mom, Virginia Hanlon Grohl. In each episode, the two Grohls interview another musician and their mother.
Pharrell's episode with his mom, Dr. Carolyn Williams, premieres this Thursday, May 13.
