Sleeping with Sirens' Kellin Quinn and Yellowcard's Ryan Key are forming a new, kid-friendly pop-punk band.
The group, named The First Rock Band on Mars, also features Howi Spangler and James DiNanno of the bands Ballyhoo! and Silhouette Rising, respectively. It was inspired by DiNanno's 2020 children's book, also called The First Rock Star on Mars.
"I think it's important for parents and their kids to have a song that they're both into, one that doesn't feel punishing to put on in the car or at home and listen to," says Quinn. "That's what we set out to accomplish."
The self-titled debut The First Rock Band on Mars album will be released June 11.
Meanwhile, you can hear Quinn guest on Machine Gun Kelly's new song, "Love Race."
