Reginae Carter is ready to hit the small screen with a leading role in the upcoming film Boxed In.
With less than a month until its scheduled release on Peacock November 1, Carter, 23, recently shared the film's poster with her 6.7 million Instagram followers.
"Coming soon," she captioned the image. The artwork is a collage of Carter's character, Ria, an up-and-coming female boxer.
The story centers around Ria, who, at one point, cares only about boxing. That changes when she meets her love interest, Tuga, played by Sean Freeman. Also starring in the film are Clifton Powell, Ernestine Johnson and Zane Copeland.
In conversation with Carter earlier this year about another gig -- hosting AllBlk's Social Society -- ABC Audio spoke with the star about balancing all of her entertainment projects.
After hinting at Boxed In and her work on Terror Lake Drive, Carter said, "Stay tuned. I've got a couple things coming."
Boxed In marks the directorial debut for writer and editor Ariel Julia Hairston.
Hairston took to Instagram to share exclusive images of the film and expressed excitement about its release.
"I've always titled myself as a 'film director,' but this one really sealed the deal," she captioned the post. "I'm very excited for everyone to see! For my directorial debut, I'm really proud. (& psst, we got another one coming)," she said.
