Nicki Minaj hopped on Instagram with a "major, monumental" update for fans who anxiously await her next album, Pink Friday 2.

After teeing up the announcement as "the biggest gift I've ever given humanity thus far," Nicki revealed she's pushing the album back from November 17 to December 8.

The new date, one that is "very special to me and the Barbz," is also Nicki's birthday. This year, she'll turn 41.

The long-awaited sequel to her award-winning, chart-topping debut album, Pink Friday, Nicki's upcoming project was originally scheduled for October 20 then rescheduled to the November date. Now, the rapper will deliver her most "incredible body of work" during the holiday season.

"I have never in my life been so in love with something I'm working on," she reminded fans of the album that's been in the works for five years.

One of the reasons for the delay, Nicki said, is because she had writer's block when she was pregnant with her 3-year-old son, who goes by the nickname Papa Bear, and at the time, she "didn't wanna say freaky stuff."

Nicki also cleared up rumors that she was again postponing Pink Friday 2 because her mentor Lil Wayne announced his upcoming 2 Chainz collaborative project, Welcome 2 Collegrove, is expected on November 17.

"You know how me and Weezy play. He would never do that, if that was my album date" Nicki said, noting the December date was already changed behind the scenes.

Though fans have to wait a bit longer for Pink Friday 2, Nicki promises "the album is going to make people fall in love, immediately."

"I can stand by that, I will bet any amount of money," she said.
