Lzzy Hale lends her vocals to new song called "Rebel" from the German blues-rock duo The Picturebooks.

"This project came into my life at a time when I really needed it," the Halestorm frontwoman says of the track. "The pandemic stole a huge part of my life, and my identity. I was forced to look myself in the mirror and figure out who I am without that missing piece. I had to remind myself that no matter what is happening outside...the flame that burns inside of me is still alive."

"Writing these lyrics was like drawing a road map to guide myself back to who I am," she continues. "No one can do it for me, no one can save me but myself. In order to do that, I have to start a revolution inside my soul, and be a rebel from the inside out. This song is my war cry."

You can download "Rebel" now via digital outlets, and watch its accompanying video streaming now on YouTube.

Over the past year, Hale has released collaborations with artists including Dee Snider, Apocalyptica and The Hu. She also hopped on the song "Thunder Force" with Slipknot's Corey Taylor, Anthrax's Scott Ian and ex-Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo, which was recorded for the Netflix film of the same name.

Meanwhile, Hale and her Halestorm band mates have been working on new material to follow their most recent album, 2018's Vicious. Earlier this week, the group announced a co-headlining U.S. tour with Evanescence, set to kick off this fall.
