Linkin Park's unearthed new song "Lost" may bring the band back to the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time in six years.
Billboard reports that "Lost" is on pace for a "likely debut" on the all-genre ranking, which the "Numb" rockers haven't appeared on since 2017 with their Kiiara collaboration, "Heavy."
"Lost," which premiered last Friday, dates back to the sessions for LP's 2003 album, Meteora, and features lead vocals by the late Chester Bennington. In addition to its own possible chart feats, "Lost" has resulted in extra attention for Meteora. According to Billboard, Meteora saw a 32 percent increase in U.S. streams on the day "Lost" was released.
"Lost" will be included in the upcoming 20th anniversary reissue of Meteora, due out April 7.
In other chart news, Red Hot Chili Peppers have matched a Billboard record previously set by Foo Fighters. The "Californication" rockers are now tied with Dave Grohl and company with 28 top-10 singles on the Alternative Airplay chart, the most in the history of the 34-year-old ranking.
The song that brought the Peps even with the Foos is "The Drummer," a cut off the former's 2022 Return of the Dream Canteen album.
