Lil Baby recently used his platform to address violence in the Atlanta community. While at the funeral of Bre'Asia Powell, a teen who was fatally shot at a graduation party, he delivered a eulogy in which he urged those in attendance to stop the violence.

"What I do want to say to the youth, to like a younger generation, and I’m saying it as a ‘we,’ because I’m with y’all, we gotta change," Lil Baby said at the homegoing service, held at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church, per XXL. "A lot of time when people talk it’s more so like on the males, but I’m speaking for the males and the females. The females make the young males think this and that is cool when it’s not."

"The same girls, they ain’t gon’ be with you, they gon’ be with the opps when you go to jail," the rapper continued. "I’m only here to not speak but like she said, we gotta come up with a plan and I’m here to help the plan."

ABC reports Powell was at a graduation party in the parking lot of Benjamin E. Mays High School on May 28, when shots were fired and she was struck. Authorities discovered a critically injured 16-year-old on the scene, who was later confirmed to be Powell. She eventually succumbed to her injuries.
