Kodak Black throws money into ocean, sparks backlash on social media

While some people use the phrase "throwing money down the drain" as a way to describe frivolous spending, Kodak Black has taken a more literal approach to the phrase -- causing an uproar on social media.

The 24-year-old rapper recently posted a video of himself throwing money off of a yacht and into the ocean. And it wasn't small change, either. The money tossed overboard added up to approximately $100,000, according to My Mixtapez, which reposted the clip.

The since-deleted clip was posted Kodak's Instagram along with the caption, "I Broke You Off When Dem F*** N****s Wouldn’t Give You A Dime !!! I Ain’t Owe You S*** N**** I Just Wanted To See You Shine !!! Yeen Never Gave Me Shit N**** I Had My Own Grind !!!!"

In another deleted clip, the "Tunnel Vision" rapper is seen throwing hundred-dollar bills into the toilet before flushing it.

Both videos have sparked outrage from social media users, who claim that Kodak's actions are a result of his apparent fallout with fellow artist Jackboy

"He mad jackboy passed em," one Twitter user wrote. "Everyone wanna see you do good until you do better."

Another person noted that the money could have been put to much better use, and wrote, "Hes from one of the poorest places in Florida and yet he rather impress people for views instead of giving that money to black poverty stricken families. This could be one of the saddest and out of touch videos I've ever seen."
