Justin Timberlake was arrested early Tuesday for driving while intoxicated in the Hamptons, a law enforcement official told ABC News.
The arrest occurred in Sag Harbor, New York, where Justin blew a stop sign and swerved into a lane of oncoming traffic at 12:37 a.m., according to Sag Harbor Village Police.
Police said they saw Timberlake, 43, driving a 2025 BMW on Madison Street when he failed to stop and failed to maintain his lane of travel. Police said when they pulled him over Timberlake "was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition."
Police determined Timberlake was driving drunk, had bloodshot, glassy eyes and "a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage" emanating from his breath, according to the criminal complaint. He also had slowed speech, was unsteady on his feet and performed poorly on a field sobriety test, the complaint said.
Timberlake told the arresting officer he had only one drink, according to the criminal complaint.
He was placed under arrest and held overnight for arraignment, at which time he was released on his own recognizance.
Timberlake has concerts in Chicago Friday and Saturday, and shows in New York City June 25 and June 26.
ABC News has reached out to Timberlake's representative for comment.
