J. Cole will release his highly-anticipated new album, The Off-Season, later this month.

On Tuesday, the Dreamville rapper and CEO shared the release date and cover art for his sixth studio album on his Twitter and Instagram.

"My new album, The Off-Season [will] available everywhere 5/14," Cole wrote in the caption. "Just know this was years in the making."

The Off-Season's cover art finds J. Cole dressed in all black with a burning basketball hoop behind him.

The Off-Season marks Cole's first solo release since 2018's KOD, which peaked at #1 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums, Top Rap Albums and the Billboard 200 Albums, as well as charts in Australia.

According to his Instagram, J. Cole intends to follow up The Off-Season with two more albums, one titled It's a Boy and the other his previously announced album, The Fall Off. Last July, Cole dropped his two-song EP, Lewis Street, featuring "The Climb Back" and "Lion King On Ice," as previews of The Fall Off.
