Hoobastank launching 20th anniversary retrospective doc series

Hoobastank is launching a retrospective documentary project celebrating the 20th anniversary of the band's 2001 self-titled debut album.

The seven-part video series will feature never-before-seen footage from the Hoobastank recording process, paired with newly conducted interviews with the band members and album producer.

The first episode is set to premiere next week. You can watch a trailer streaming now on YouTube.

Hoobastank the album was released November 20, 2001, and spawned the singles "Crawling in the Dark" and "Running Away." The group broke out with their sophomore follow-up The Reason in 2003, which included the hit title track, aka the "I'm not a perfect person" song.

Meanwhile, Hoobastank is prepping for a co-headlining tour with Lit, kicking off in October. The bill will also include Alien Ant Farm and Kristopher Roe of "In This Diary" band The Ataris.
