grandson has released a new song called "Kult" in collaboration with superstar DJ Steve Aoki and multi-genre artist Jasiah.
"'Kult' is about what happens when the imaginary world becomes more attractive than the real world we inhabit," the "Dirty" rocker says. "It's about the cognitive disassociation with reality in a dystopian hellscape, but set at a Steve Aoki concert."
grandson adds that working with Aoki was an "awesome experience."
"I've been going to [Aoki's] shows since I was a broke college student," he says. "Jasiah and I have talked about making genre-bending music together for a long time so this was the perfect opportunity to get the gang together and throw down."
"Kult" is available now via digital outlets. You can watch its accompanying music video, featuring all three artists, streaming now on YouTube.
grandson is currently on tour opening for Imagine Dragons. He'll launch his own headlining tour next week, followed by a trip to Canada in May to support Avril Lavigne.
