Goldfinger welcomed skateboarding legend Tony Hawk to the stage during their concert in Anaheim, California, over the weekend for a surprise joint rendition of "Superman."
Not only is "Superman" one of Goldfinger's most famous and beloved songs, it also has had a connection to the skating world and Hawk ever since the track was included in the 1999 video game Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. In an interview with ABC Audio in 2022, frontman John Feldmann declared, "Tony Hawk really changed the trajectory of my career."
Footage of the onstage collaborative was posted to Feldmann and Hawk's Instagram Stories.
Last August, Goldfinger released a rerecorded version of "Superman" featuring Biffy Clyro's Simon Neil. The updated version was included on the deluxe version of Goldfinger's 2020 album, Never Look Back, along with a new recording of "Here in Your Bedroom" featuring Avril Lavigne.
