Garbage has announced a reissue of the band's 2001 album beautifulgarbage in honor of its 20th anniversary.

The expanded, deluxe collection is due out October 1. It includes newly remastered audio from the original record, as well as various bonus B-sides, alternate versions and remixes.

For a preview, you can listen to the previously unheard "Rough Mix" of the lead single "Androgyny" now via digital outlets.

Following the alt rock hits of 1995's Garbage and 1998's Version 2.0, beautifulgarbage took a more experimental approach, introducing more electronic and pop elements into the band's sound.

"We cherish this third child of ours just as much as its predecessors," says frontwoman Shirley Manson. "Over time it has garnered more and more respect from our fans, with many of the songs remaining in rotation in our live sets to this day. We've always felt incredibly proud of this record and felt it was in many ways very much ahead of its time."

"Twenty years down the line, we are all exceedingly grateful to have such well-crafted songs in our discography," she adds. "[We] are very proud that against all the odds we are still standing and can give our beloved album the tribute it so very much deserves."

Garbage just released a new album called No Gods No Masters in June. They're currently on tour in support of it alongside Alanis Morissette.
