Rapper G Herbo is facing new charges regarding his 1.5 million dollar federal fraud case.
According to the Chicago Tribune, new charges were filed in Massachusetts against Herbo, born, Herbert Wright III, alleging he lied to an FBI agent in 2018 about his relationship with his manager Antonio "T-Glo" Strong, who is believed to be the "mastermind of the identity scheme."
"Specifically, Wright falsely said he’d never provided Strong any money, never received anything of value from Strong and had no direct relationship with Strong."
According to the old charges, Wright, Strong and four others were charged with allegedly using stolen identities and credit card information to purchase private jets, pets and "luxury accommodations and exotic sports car rentals" over a four year period.
Making false statements to federal agents carries up to five years in prison, adding to the six years G Herbo could face after being charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and aggravated identity theft in a 14-count indictment in December.
The PTSD rapper pled not guilty during his court appearance and later addressed the allegations against him on the Dipset-sample track "Statement."
