Dr. Dre is celebrating what appears to be the end of his bitter divorce proceedings.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member posed in an Instagram photo in which he's smiling in front of balloons that spell out "DIVORCED AF." Dre was married to Nicole Young for 25 years, and she filed for divorce in June 2020, citing irreconcilable differences. There has not been an official report that the divorce has been finalized.
Earlier this year, Dre, born Andre Young, was ordered to pay Nicole $2 million in spousal support by January 11, 2022. In July, he was temporarily ordered to pay Young nearly $3.5 million in annual spousal support.
Meanwhile, The Chronic rapper/producer also announced he's produced new music for a nine-time Grammy nominee.
"I just finished recording an album with Marsha Ambrosius, Casablanco. I had a blast!!," Dre commented in an Instagram post, accompanied by a photo of him in a recording studio in front of an orchestra. "This is some of my best work!!"
Dre will be performing during halftime at Super Bowl 56 with Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg and Mary J. Blige. After Dre posted on Saturday a track that he recorded with Anderson .Paak for the new Grand Theft Auto video game, GTA Online: The Contract, which is coming out this Wednesday, a snippet of another song with Eminem for the soundtrack leaked Sunday on the Internet.
