Dave East returns with a music video for his Karma 3 track "Know How I Feel" featuring the queen: Mary J. Blige.
The visual finds the rapper and singer performing on stage while dressed in all black, while Mary dons a beautiful blonde hairstyle. Other scenes find East laying on the couch sharing his thoughts with a therapist and Mary rocking a pink hairdo.
"I know how it feel/Before Nas, I ain't know 'bout a deal," East raps, referring to his record deal with Def Jam in 2017 through a partnership with Nas' Mass Appeal label.
"Know How I Feel" was featured on East's 2020 project, Karma 3. After it peaked at #22 on Billboard's Top Rap Albums chart last August, East followed it up with a deluxe release in October. Yet his highest-charting album is still 2016's Kairi Chanel, which peaked at number two.
Kairi Chanel is also the name of East's five-year-old daughter with his longtime girlfriend Milagrito Colon. The couple welcomed their second daughter, Kobi Chanai, last November. The father of two spent time bonding with Kobi over the weekend during one of her many nap sessions.
"How she sleep like me?" the rapper wrote on Instagram Saturday, sharing a photo of the two laying next to each other in bed, both with one arm reaching over their heads.
