While it's understood that Hollywood sells Californication, it also offers stars to Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The "Under the Bridge" rockers -- who once sang "Buy me a star on the boulevard" in the song "Californication" -- will be honored with just that on the Hollywood Walk of Fame during a ceremony taking place March 31.

"Our hometown Hollywood boys are finally coming to collect their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame," says Hollywood Walk of Fame Producer Ana Martinez. "We have been waiting for them to break away from their busy schedules to dedicate their star and we are thrilled to welcome them to our Walk of Fame family."

RHCP had previously been selected for a Hollywood Walk of Fame star in 2008 but never set a date to accept the honor.

Joining the Peppers to help unveil the star will be actor Woody Harrelson, funk legend George Clinton and musician Bob Forrest, alongside Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Chair Nicole Mihalka. You can watch the ceremony live via WalkofFame.com.

A day after they get their star, RHCP will release their new alum Unlimited Love on April 1.
