Rock is taking over the small screen in Paradise City, a new series streaming now on Amazon Prime Video.

The show's cast features Black Veil Brides' Andy Biersack, Asking Alexandria's Ben Bruce, Lamb of God's Randy Blythe, Sleeping with Sirens' Kellin Quinn and Slipknot's Sid Wilson, among many others from the world of heavy music. Biersack and Bruce play members of a band called The Relentless, whose supernatural story drives the plot.

Actor Bella Thorne plays the bassist in The Relentless, and she tells ABC Audio that the cast's rock bona fides are a big part of what drew her to Paradise City.

"Everyone that's actually in the show has a huge background in rock, that's been here, done that," Thorne explains. "To know that I was gonna work with people that have written this story, that have been in this place for so long, I thought that that was just really cool."

Thorne also applauds series creator Ash Avildsen's "bold" decision to cast so many actual rock artists in starring roles, as opposed to relegating them to cameos.

"Usually...it's, like, 'Here's someone that you know and love, and they're just gonna say five lines and walk out,'" Thorne says. "And instead [Avildsen] made these people series regulars and strong recurring [characters], and put them in every episode, and it's f***ing amazing! It's so cool."

Thorne's a musician herself, having released new songs called "Shake It" and "Phantom" this year, and she's down to collaborate with any of her Paradise City costars.

"If anyone on that set came up to me and was, like, 'Hey B, here's a song, should we do something like this?,' I would be, like, 'Yeah bro, anytime!'" she laughs.
