Arctic Monkeys' The Car has debuted in the top 10 on the Billboard 200.

The seventh studio effort from the U.K. rockers lands at #6 on this week's chart with a total of 37,500 equivalent album units, 28,500 of which were traditional album sales. That matches Alex Turner and company's previous Billboard 200 peak, which was achieved by 2013's AM. It now joins AM, 2007's Favourite Worst Nightmare and 2018's Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino to become the band's fourth top-10 album.

Over in Arctic Monkeys' home country, The Car debuted at #2 on the U.K. Official Albums Chart, bested only by Taylor Swift's Midnights, which bows at #1 on the Billboard 200. Swift's ascension breaks AM's streak of #1 U.K. albums, which they'd held since their 2006 debut, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not.

Arctic Monkeys will be touring the world in support of The Car to close out 2022 and kick off 2023. The global outing will make its way to the U.S. in August.
