Alicia Keys recorded the unofficial New York City anthem, "Empire State of Mind," in 2009 with Jay-Z, and now she will be showing her love for her hometown with a special free show on Wednesday at one of the Big Apple's iconic landmarks.
The 15-time Grammy winner will give a performance at noon ET at Rockefeller Center that will be livestreamed on Rock Center's official Instagram page. Alicia's stage will be set up next to the famed Rockefeller Center Christmas tree.
Now celebrating the 20th anniversary of her seven-times platinum debut album, 2001's Songs in A Minor, the 40-year-old singer released her eighth studio album, simply titled KEYS, on Friday. The 26-track, double-album project features Khalid, Lucky Daye, Lil Wayne, Brandi Carlile, Pusha T and Swae Lee. Keys offers a dual audio experience: an "Originals" side with new songs, and an "Unlocked" side that samples the original tracks. Alicia also dropped a new video, "Old Memories," on Friday, and performed via livestream at the Dubai UAE Infinite Nights concert series that day.
Keys will kick off her Alicia World Tour on June 9, 2022, in Birmingham, U.K., and the American leg begins August 2 in Charlotte, North Carolina. She will wrap up the tour September 24 in Nashville
