Florida rapper Kodak Black is returning to his Haitian roots with his upcoming release, Haitian Boy Kodak.
On Tuesday, Kodak shared the project's cover art on Instagram. It finds him seated in a red-suit surrounded by dozens of traditional prayer candles and a golden cross to his left.
In another Instagram post, Kodak previewed a song, titled, "Thermillia," where he speaks his country's main language, Creole.
It's unclear whether Haitian Boy Kodak is considered an album or mixtape, but fans are excited for Kodak to release his first project since being released from prison.
"Now its time to crank up," wrote one fan in the comments, while another said, "This the hardest cover out."
Haitian Boy Kodak follows the album, Bill Israel, which was released last November, while Kodak was serving time for federal gun charges. Kodak was originally sentenced to 46 months in 2019, but received a pardon from former President Donald Trump this January.
Last month, Kodak accepted a guilty plea on a separate charge for assaulting a teenage girl in a hotel room in 2016. According to ABC affiliate WBTW, he was originally charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct for attacking a girl after his performance in Florence City, South Carolina.
