Oprah Winfrey hopes to help people stay positive during the pandemic with a special pre-Mother’s Day virtual event.

"I’ve been thinking a lot about resilience lately," Winfrey tells USA Today as she announced her 90-minute "Your Life in Focus: Spring Forward Stronger" event to take place on May 8 at 11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT. “Sometimes people think resilience is like bouncing back like you’re some kind of nerf ball. But it really is about absorbing the difficult moments, knowing that they’ve changed you, but moving forward anyway with a resolve to make it through."

"Springing forward is about resilience and being bold enough to imagine your healthiest, most well life even as you are still processing everything we experienced this year," Winfrey adds.

The Oscar, Emmy and Tony Award winner is once again partnering with Weight Watchers. In February, she was joined by Ciara, Kym Whitley, and more for her “Be the Love You Need” virtual event.

WW also sponsored Oprah's nine-city “2020 Vision: Your Life in Focus” in person tour which featured conversations with Michelle Obama, Dwayne Johnson, Jennifer Lopez, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Gayle King.

You can register for "Your Life in Focus: Spring Forward Stronger," which will feature actress Drew Barrymore, on the Weight Watchers website.
