Rolling Stone has unveiled the list of what it thinks are the best albums of the 21st century so far.

Radiohead's 2000 record Kid A comes in at #2, behind only Beyoncé's 2016 opus Lemonade at #1. Rolling Stone writes that Kid A "foresaw a darker 21st century, one marked by fear, loneliness, dislocation, and technological advancements that only divide us further."

"[Twenty-five] years later, there's near-universal sentiment that Kid A is not only a towering achievement by the greatest band of its time, but also a warning call that went completely unheeded," the mag declares.

The next-highest-ranking rock album is The Strokes' 2001 debut, Is This It, at #10, which Rolling Stone says "gave the rock scene a much-needed hotness infusion."

Other albums in the top 25 include Fiona Apple's The Idler Wheel... (2012) at #13, The White Stripes Elephant (2003) at #14, Lana Del Rey's Norman F****** Rockwell! (2019) at #15 and Lorde's Melodrama (2017) at #25.
