A judge has ruled that Twitter must provide "identifying information" for an anonymous account named in All Time Low's ongoing libel lawsuit, Rolling Stone reports.
Earlier this year, the "Monsters" outfit filed a lawsuit against several anonymous social media accounts that accused the band, and specifically guitarist Jack Barakat, of sexual misconduct. The judge's ruling calls for one particular account that made allegations against Barakat, referred to in the lawsuit as Doe 2, to be identified.
"Plaintiffs cannot proceed with litigation without identifying Doe 2," the judge wrote.
The allegations against All Time Low, which the band denied as "absolutely and unequivocally false," first surfaced last fall. Multiple opening bands that had been on tour with All Time Low at the time dropped off the bill following the allegations.
