Ghost has turned a TikTok sensation into a new RIAA certification.
The band's song "Mary on a Cross" has officially gone Gold in honor of half a million certified units. It's the fourth Gold-decorated Ghost track, following "Cirice," "Dance Macabre" and "Square Hammer."
"Mary on a Cross" was originally released in 2019, but resurfaced this year thanks to a viral TikTok trend. Its newfound success made it the first Ghost song to chart on the Billboard Hot 100.
Meanwhile, Ghost's new album, Impera, which was released in March, just won Favorite Rock Album at the 2022 American Music Awards.
