Anthrax bassist Frank Bello is telling his story in his debut memoir.
The book, titled Fathers, Brothers, and Sons: Surviving Anguish, Abandonment, and Anthrax, is due out October 12. It finds Bello recalling his childhood growing up with his mom and siblings after his father left them, as well as Anthrax's rise to fame in the late '80s and early '90s and the tragic murder of his brother. It all leads up to Bello reflecting on what it means for him to be a father now.
"Like many men who grew up without the guidance of a dad, [Bello] asks himself important questions about the meaning of fatherhood and how to do the job well," the book's description reads. "This is the wisdom which Fathers, Brothers, and Sons offers readers."
Bello wrote Fathers, Brothers, and Sons in collaboration with British author Joel McIver. It features a foreword from KISS' Gene Simmons.
