Sombr is only 20 years old, but he's already got marriage on his mind.
The "back to friends" singer appears on the cover of NYLON Guys, and in the accompanying interview, when asked what he "wants out of his 2026," he replies, "Number one, a wife."
"Number two, being able to collaborate with peers that I look up to," he adds. "And number three, be on the cover of NYLON.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Sombr says, "I’m still very single. And I still deal with some issues that have to do with love.” One of those issues involves his ex-girlfriend's boyfriend — whom he calls a "fool" — and who is the subject of the song "Homewrecker. According to Sombr, the man isn't too happy about the track.
"Hopefully, he doesn’t come f****** kill me," he says.
Sombr also reveals he's working on new music influenced by The Beatles, The Beach Boy and "nostalgic 2010s pop.” “I’m staying true to my style, but I’m definitely exploring," he says. "And if the album flops, f***. As long as I am happy with what I made.”
On his newfound fame — which has already earned him a Grammy nomination, a performance slot at Coachella and a celebrity fan in Taylor Swift — Sombr says, "I just have to accept that I don’t have privacy, which is not something I’ll ever complain about because this is what I wanted. But I have to always act like I’m always being watched. Because I am.”
