Do you believe ... Thirty Seconds to Mars will release new music this year?

The Jared Leto-led outfit has shared a video from the studio showing drummer Shannon Leto laying down a few beats. A caption for the clip reads, "The energy we're bringing into 2023."

Thirty Seconds to Mars' most recent album is 2018's AMERICA, which spawned the singles "Walk on Water," "Dangerous Night" and "Rescue Me." In 2021, the brothers teamed up with DJ and producer Illenium for the song "Wouldn't Change a Thing."

Last March, Jared told Apple Music 1 that new music would be arriving "momentarily," which, given even the most generous definition of the term, did not happen. Perhaps we shouldn't expect accurate conceptions of how long things take from a band called Thirty Seconds to Mars.

Thirty Seconds to Mars is also set to return to the live stage this year to play the 2023 When We Were Young festival, taking place in October in Las Vegas.
