New Music Friday: H.E.R., Meek Mill, The Weeknd, and Big Sean

RCA Records

On Friday, H.E.R. dropped her tender ballad, "For Anyone," which she performed Wednesday night on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Earlier this week, the Oscar and Grammy winner was announced one of the artists who will perform in tribute to Tina Turner when the legendary singer is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on October 30.

Meek Mill released his "Northside Southside" shot on the streets of London video, featuring British rapper Giggs. The track is from his fifth studio album, Expensive Pain, which dropped on October 1. The Philly MC is headlining his Expensive Pain Live concert Saturday at Madison Square Garden in New York City featuring Lil Uzi Vert, A Boogie with da Hoodie, 42 Dugg and many more

The Weeknd has teamed up with house music supergroup Swedish House Mafia on the new track “Moth to a Flame.” Last week, the "Blinding Lights" singer announced that once again, the pandemic forced him to postpone his After Hours tour, this time to summer 2022.

Big Sean is back with his first new music of the year, "What a Life." In the surreal video, the Detroit rapper floats above the city, before sitting in a chair and literally being covered with bees.

Finally, condolences to the DeBarge family as TMZ reports that Switch member, Tommy DeBarge, passed away Thursday at the age of 64. He transitioned after suffering from liver and kidney failure.

Switch signed to Motown Records with the help of Jermaine Jackson. The group included Tommy's brother, Bobby DeBarge, and in 1978, they released the top-ten hit "There'll Never Be." In 1981, Tommy and Bobby left the group to mentor their younger siblings El, Mark, Randy and Bunny, who formed the group DeBarge.
