Coheed and Cambria has released a new song called "Rise, Naianasha (Cut the Cord)."

As frontman Claudio Sanchez explains, the track "explores the reach of love and loyalty and the reality that sometimes you need to be more than a shoulder to lean on -- you need to become the destroyer."

You can download "Rise, Naianasha" now via digital outlets.

"Rise, Naianasha" is the second new Coheed tune of 2021, following this past summer's "Shoulders." The band has been working on a new album, the follow-up to 2018's Vaxis -- Act I: The Unheavenly Creatures.

"Shoulders," meanwhile, has become Coheed's highest charting rock radio single, hitting the top 15 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay ranking. On the Alternative Airplay chart, Coheed peaked at number 13 with their breakout single "A Favor House Atlantic."
