Former My Chemical Romance drummer Bob Bryar is saying so long and goodnight to one of his most storied kits.

Bryar has announced that he's auctioning off the drum set he played during MCR's performance of "Helena" during the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards, and the subsequent tour. The drums were also used to record parts of My Chem's beloved 2006 album, The Black Parade.

"I'm permanently closing the book on my drumming days," Bryar says. "I have too many wrist issues, I'm too old, too fat, and it's time for something new."

The kit is currently up for auction on eBay, and bidding is open through July 7. Proceeds will be donated to the Williamson County Animal Control and Adoption Center in Tennessee.

Bryar played in My Chemical Romance from 2004 to 2010. During his tenure, he missed a number of shows due to a wrist injury.
