Rapper Baby Blue is reportedly in critical condition after being shot during an armed robbery at a Florida bowling alley on Monday.
The Davie Police Department in a press release explained that the 36-year-old rapper, who starred on Love and Hip Hop, was targeted by two individuals who approached him outside the bowling alley and demanded his jewelry.
"A physical altercation ensued over the attempted robbery of a gold chain necklace which resulted in the suspect firearm discharging, striking the victim in the left shoulder area," the police say. "The victim that sustained a gun shot wound, was transported to local area hospital, and remains in critical condition."
Blue's current status remains unknown at this time and the suspects remain at large.
Police say they are hunting for the individuals responsible for the violence and are seeking information to learn their identities. Authorities state that the suspects covered their faces and were wearing a blue and a grey hoodie at the time of the shooting.
A video allegedly depicting the original Pretty Ricky member after the violent altercation has been making the rounds on the internet.
Baby Blue, né Diamond Smith, has remained silent on social media but, on Wednesday, fans noticed that his Instagram bio was changed to "#PrayforBabyBlue."
Requests to his team for comment have not been answered.
