Polo G was arrested over the weekend during an overnight traffic stop in Miami.

According to Billboard, the rapper, born Taurus Bartlett, was arrested Saturday night, and released on bond hours later, on multiple charges, including criminal mischief, resisting arrest, and battery on a police officer.

Polo took to Twitter later to address how he felt about some of the police officers involved in his arrest.

"[One] of the officers told us they was on us since we got off our jet," he tweeted. "They playin foul in Miami & dat [stuff] been like that for a minute."

Billboard obtained documents from the Miami Police Department, which state officers pulled over Bartlett and others him and the other passengers to get out of the vehicle. Police suspected there were weapons in the car after reportedly hearing a passenger say it was bulletproof.

The report also states an officer was struck multiple times while attempting to handcuff Bartlett, who allegedly resisted arrest. The incident led the officer and Bartlett to engage in a physical altercation on the ground.

Miami police intend to review camera footage of the incident and the arrest, which they say was caught on several body cameras. In response to Polo's arrest, police spokesman Michael Vega says they're also looking into threats against employees and their facilities.

The incident in Miami took place following the release party for Polo G's new album, Hall of Fame, which dropped Friday.
