Award-winning Roots and Star Trek: The Next Generation actor, director and beloved host of Reading Rainbow, LeVar Burton, has been tapped to teach the "power of storytelling" for MasterClass.
Now available on the streaming platform, MasterClass subscribers will have unlimited access to Burton's curated class that "explores the motivation behind storytelling" and shares his approach and philosophies that help members "activate their imaginations" and "gain confidence as speakers."
“Stories are the universal language of humanity,” Burton said in a statement. “Every one of us has a personal story to share, and in my class, I want to help members find those stories from within and have the courage to share them with the world.”
Additionally, Burton's class will cover a diverse range of formats, from acting to podcasting and more.
This is latest venture for the Burton, whose iconic educational television series, Reading Rainbow earned him 12 Daytime Emmys and a Peabody Award. Up next he will serve as a guest host on Jeopardy! from July 26 to 30.
